New & Old Soul, Deep Funk, Psychedelic Jazz, Hammond Grooves, Retro Soundtracks, Latin Boogaloo, Sexy Lounge, Spaceage Pop, Funky Breaks, Easy Listening, And More....

Formerly known as “Breakthru”, the mish-mash of a would-be dance craze started life in the glorious summer of ’98. Held responsible for helping (and ultimately killing) the Big Beat phenomenon of the late 90’s, the biggest 80’s night on the south coast, and pioneers of the genre “Bizzaro”, obsessive collectors of all records strange, DJ’s Joff, Mr Benn and Murby-R had to flee the south coast where they were inflicting their noise on famous Southsea venues such as The Subway, EQ, The Frog, and The Garage.

Upon re-locating to the relative safety of London Town, Pistol Pete joined the team under the new guise of “Spinoff”, appearing at a number of venues, including The Metro Club, Point 101, various student dives, as well as guest appearances at numerous clubs inflicting the usual erratic blend of Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Breaks, Beats and Bizzaro, on unsuspecting crowds in clubs and via Internet radio. But if that’s too much for you, the Spinoff Sunday Sessions take place each week at the Lockside Lounge, Camden playing a lighter range of Funk, Soul and Jazz for that post-market therapy.

Keep your ears peeled as DJ’s Joff and Mr Benn are currently working on their debut album, which is expected to turn at least a few heads....
